BPS is delighted to report that our new Open Access journal Applied Phycology has passed the assessment to be accepted into the Scopus database.
Scopus is the abstracting and indexing service run by Elsevier. Being indexed in Scopus is a mark of quality as it indicates the journal has passed the review process and it can lead to increased international visibility. Journals indexed in Scopus receive several metrics, including CiteScore, SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) and Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP).
This is a significant milestone for Applied Phycology. We would like to thank all those who contributed in any way for all your hard work to get to this point. Thanks to all of you who participated in writing, reviewing and promoting the journal. A large part of this success is down to the work of the guest editors on the special collections on Algal Culture collections, the UN SDGs, and an upcoming collection on molecular ecology, we are really grateful.
