Kelp Swaying

Image description:

While SCUBA diving in the kelp forests of southern Aotearoa New Zealand, I was in awe by the cathedral I was in, and in awe of the critters utilizing the kelp. Fish darted in between the blades, but what caught my attention most was this anemone, Epiactis sp., which I learned later is an undescribed species. There's so much that kelp does for the underwater critters, and watching this anemone sway back and forth, taking advantage of being on a moving substrate rather than a rock, was pretty neat.
