Solotvynia ucrainica

The recently described ulvophyte species Solotvynia ucrainica was isolated from hypersaline habitat and can adapt to high range of salinities from freshwater to salinities up to 100 psu. The close relatives was known for many years from open ocean waters and was assigned as unknown coccoid ulvophyte. Both these taxa represent a new order of the Ulvophyceae.
