Volvox colonies collected from the outdoor pool of the Tropical Aquarium at the Porte Dorée in Paris. The photography was taken by Curiosity (SeaLabX) , a field microscope and a formidable tool for observing plankton in the context of scientific outreach and citizen science. Volvox are a very interesting example of a living organism that falls between single-celled and multicellular organisms.
