Iridescence

This iridescent algae is actually a type of red seaweed (Champia possibly C. vieillardii) that can be found along shorelines with moderate water movement. It caught my eye while free diving close to one of Vava'u, Tonga’s oldest villages called Ofu. A place where people have lived in symbiosis with nature for 3000 years according to oral history and paleontologists. This photo was taken on my Olympus t6 in October 2023.
