The BPS and Quekett Microscopical Club are planning to hold another joint freshwater field meeting on the weekend of 3-5 September at Malham Tarn field centre.  These are informal events with opportunities to collect and examine algae material from some beautiful locations. This year, Allan Pentecost will be guiding us around the phycological delights of the Malham. All BPS members are welcome but we particularly encourage students to attend. This is a good opportunity to learn about identification and ecology of freshwater algae in a relaxed setting.

Students who are members of the BPS will be eligible for a bursary to cover costs (more details at https://brphycsoc.org/awards_training/).  If you are interested, get in touch  and I’ll send more details.
