BPS has moved to three Awards & Training deadlines per year:
| 1st February: | Student Bursaries Summer Undergraduate Internships |
| 1st May: | Student Bursaries Project Awards Outreach Project Awards |
| 1st November: | Student Bursaries Early Career Researcher Bursaries for the BPS Annual Meeting |
Further details of these funding schemes can be found in an updated version of the BPS Funding Guidelines – download here. Applications must be made by the deadline listed through our awards submission portal. The portal is very simple, it requires: 1) your name, 2) your valid email address and 3) a completed application form. Please note that awards would be covering registration, travel and accommodation but they no longer cover subsistence.

Funding from the Federation of European Microbiological Societies
BPS is an active member of the Federation of European Microbiological Societies which gives BPS members access to the FEMS funding schemes.
Two BPS members were recently awarded FEMS grants.
